What is Nexus?

Nexus is a web-first life and stats tracker for Magic: the Gathering. Open it in your browser, join your pod, and start tracking - no app download needed.

It’s built to stay out of your way while you play.

Why I built it

I couldn’t convince my playgroup it was worth the effort.

You track the whole game, pass turns, log attacks - and then what? Go log into a website later to see some basic stats. The payoff never felt worth the ask, and I don’t blame anyone for not wanting to bother.

I want Nexus to show you something genuinely interesting the moment the game ends. Make the “why bother?” question answer itself.

What I want for Nexus is simple: do more, while being as easy to pick up as possible. And I want it to be free to use - no ads, no paywalls on the stuff that matters.

What’s next

I’m continuing to work on:

• Making sure the tracking experience is bulletproof: The core experience needs to feel effortless - I’ll use this at least every week, too, and I want it to be easy.
• Admin things: Things like account deletion and merging, and deck merging, should just work.
• Analytics: I want to gather real-world play data so I can figure out what people find interesting, and what the best way to display that is. I want to do it well first, then go broader, and use it to help people have more fun!
